Silly season campaign 1st November 2017 till 5th January 2018 COMPLIANCE TMM REGULATION & ENFORCEMENT ROAD SAFETY OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND MINE VENTILATION Check compliance on Early entry examination Safety/VOHE officers compliance audit, Odd shift analyse and communicate the results. Sectional PTO matrix /schedule to be monitored Contractor management Adherence to Life saving rules   CLOSE OUT ACTIONS & NCR ISOMETRIX NCR to be closed out. Section 54/55 deviations to be tracked and closed out. Injury remedial actions to be implemented. Enforce adherence to the machinery regulations e.g. (artisan /S.Officers to audit the machines for PDS) Pre-use checklist to be analysed.- to have representative sample of checklist analysed ROAD SAFETY TIPS: Arrive alive- don’t drink and drive. Don’t talk/text on cell phone whilst driving Beware of pedestrian and animals. Always Obey Road Traffic rules Procedure is signed by the General Managers regarding CONTRIBUTING FACTORS TO POOR VENTILATION: Fan recirculation Inadequate planning and scheduling Use of single fan to ventilate multiple end heading. Poor knowledge of ventilation standard. WELLNESS FOCUS AREAS: Fatigue management- Compulsory alcohol/drug testing. Encourage employees who never tested to participate in the Voluntary counselling.(HCT) Employee Hearing Conservation Program.

We do want to see you again! Silly season campaign The campaign started on the 1st of November 2017. Focus points: Road safety Attitude / Behaviour towards Safety Fatigue Management Adherence to mine rules Alcohol / Drug abuse Life saving rules We do want to see you again!
