Reception Staff Training A Date in the Secret Garden

Registration Greet guests when they approach the registration table “Welcome to the Secret Garden” Politely ask for guest’s name and find corresponding key with name and table number Cross off guests names on list provided when they enter

E-Concierge Hold tablet and approach guests to explain to them the amenities offered during the event Be energetic and outgoing! Spark the interest of the arriving guests Entertain guests waiting before reception begins

Coat Check Politely ask guests if they would like to check their coat If yes, then take the coat and give it to the other coat check employee to hang on a corresponding hanger. Give the guests the corresponding number to the hanger At the end of the event, collect numbers from guests and return their coats to them

Beverage Station Each employee will stand by one designated specialty drink Make sure there is ice available Serve the drinks upon guest’s request Mock-tail Sangria Pour cup half full (no ice) Arnold Palmer Put ice in half the glass and pour drink

Action Station Stand behind action station and provide the Garden Medley Crudité to guest’s upon request Make sure you are aware of what you are serving and are able to give a description of the ingredients Put together the vegetables and the Green Goddess Dressing (Balsamic as alternative)

Photo Booth Contact a supervisor or manager to learn about camera and become familiar with taking pictures Encourage people to get their photo taken Stand behind camera and take guest’s pictures Inform them that they can get their pictures on the Secret Garden website after the event

Servers Walk around reception area and pass your designated hors d’oeuvres Be aware of what you are passing and the ingredients of the hors d’oeuvres When your platter has 2 items or less on it, go back and restock your platter Make sure you are holding napkins

Bussers Walk around reception area with an empty tray Wait for guests to place trash on tray and occasionally ask guests if you can take their trash Take trash from any high-tops, drink station and action station tables Be prepared to act as a runner and restock beverage and action stations

Sign Holders Hold sign in your designated area Direct guests to the secret garden Smile and be friendly!
