Giving As Worship I Cor. 16:1 – 2
God gave us the best He had: His Son…What will you give to Him?
God has always considered giving to be a part of our worship.
Beginning in the Garden of Eden until today God has required his servants to sacrifice. Not only of their possessions, but of themselves and their time.
Consider Abraham Consider Jacob Consider the construction of the tabernacle The Levite Tithe Festival Tithe Benevolence Tithe
“Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the churches of Galatia, so you must do also: On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.” I Cor. 16:1 – 2
Today we will consider four principles of giving to help us better understand our giving as worship.
The principle of Grace-God gives to His creation The principle of Gratitude-We should give from a thankful heart The principle of Generosity-we should first give ourselves to Him The principle of egression-If we fail to give, we will fail to prosper.
In order to please God we have to give. We have to learn how to give With Grace With Gratitude With Generosity Understanding Egression
