Overview of the R&D program on liquid Argon TPC‘s under development at the University of Bern Next steps in Neutrino Physics: precise measurement of the oscillation parameters, search for CP violation and mass hierarchy. In parallel, exploit astroparticle physics neutrinos (atmospheric, solar, supernova). Need large-mass and high imaging-capability underground detectors. LAr TPC's are well suited to achieve these goals. Marcel Zeller Albert Einstein Centre for Fundamental Physics Laboratory for High Energy Physics University of Bern on behalf of I. Badhrees, A. Ereditato, S. Janos, I. Kreslo, M. M., S. Haug, B. Rossi, C. Rudolf von Rohr, M. Weber, M. Zeller

ARGONTUBE: liquid Argon TPC (5m drift) 5 m drift distance At University of Bern a broad R&D program about the liquid Argon TPC technology is going on to prove the feasibility of large mass detectors with long drift. liquid Argon TPC chamber with 5 m drift length 500 kV in liquid Argon Impurities at the level of < 0.1ppb (life time > 3000 ms) To conclude: We aim to run ARGONTUBE this year.
