The 7200 provides Service Providers with the foundation for Managed Router and Managed Network Services, with multi-service support for voice, video, and data integration. Similarly, private Enterprise LANs and IBM campuses can also enjoy greater performance for intense VLAN and IBM connectivity. The choice of either a 4- or 6-slot chassis provides flexibility and high interface density. The 7200 offers redundancy and high availability with support for dual power supplies and Online Insertion and Removal (OIR), as well as network availability features such as Hot Standby Routing PRotocol (HSRP). Support for cutting-edge Cisco IOS features such as QoS, Cisco Express Forwarding (CEF) and Tag Switching are also available with the 7200 series routers. Offers Increased Profitability Leased line PBX Cisco 7200 Frame Relay, ATM or IP cloud Cisco 7200 New multiservice network PBX Frame Relay, ATM or IP cloud A typical application for FRF.11 trunks is that of tie-line replacement. An expensive dedicated 64K circuit can be replaced by a Frame Relay PVC. FRF.11 allows for up to 255 sub-channels on a DLCI to be configured for voice. It also allows for one sub-channel of this DLCI to be used for data protocols. However, sub-channels 0-3 are reserved. Sub-channel 5 is the default data sub-channel in Cisco’s FRF.11 implementation (this is configurable). And sub-channel 5 is used by the Cisco Switched-VoFR protocol for inter-node communication. An FRF.11 trunk is static, and is established at router boot-up, or when configured. The trunk will remain up until the voice port or serial port is shutdown, or until a network disruption occurs. In an FRF.11 trunk, signaling frames are transparently transported through the network. On the 2600 and 3600, which (currently) only support analog voice ports, this signaling terminates on the router. This means that the router must understand the signaling frames that it receives in order to relay the on-hook/off-hook hook information to the hardware. The 2600 and 3600 can currently interpret EIA-464 (“north american”) signaling. They will not be able to detect on-hook/off-hook conditions sent from a device generating signaling frames of a different type. Cost Effective Replaces 2 networks with 1 Saves on capital equipment costs and recurring maintenance costs
