How Technology has led to Moral Decays in Society

The evolution of technology has dramatically changed Society The evolution of technology has dramatically changed Society. Technology effects the way individuals communicate learn and think. An endless number of people all over the world use and benefit from modern technology. Technology has simplified the access to many necessary tools people need in education industrie, medicine, communication, transportation and so on.

Excessive usage of technology has its drawbacks as well. Though, in most cases, the speed of fulfilling of tasks accelerates with the help of technology many people do not realize that technology negatively effects society and its considerable development has complicated life in a number of different ways

How? Everyone has seen the moody, withdrawn kid with music blasting out of his white earphones, or the girl rapidly texting on her phone. The youth of today are constantly immersed in technological advancements that permotes nonstop communication and instant gratification weather through cell phones gaming systems, laptops or mp3 players.

But are these technological advancements a good thing? Probably, these are not so good for us as, they contribute completely for decaying the moral in our societies. Technology has weakened the relations among family members. Before the invention of these devices family members would sit together around the table and interact with each other. Spending less time with family and more time with different Mesmerizing gadgets can cause the loss of tight contacts with close relations.

Why are people so “mesmerized”? The ability for people to surround themselves with the familiar by using their mesmerizing gadgets is appealing because it rarely provides the user with something unexpected or unknown. However, it can be argued that this is a bad thing.

Why, what’s the harm?  Many people are known to feel anxious when disconnected from their phone. A global study found 61% of the surveyed kept their phones in their bedroom and they were 60% more likely to wake up and check at night. Many smartphone addicts may show symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder.  It is well-known to be a hindrance to learning and can reduce productivity. Switching between tasks also reduces efficiency. Switching between docs reduces understanding.  Most Facebook and Twitter users are seen to show classic traits of Narcissism by repeatedly informing the world about themselves. Psychologist claim that Facebook and Twitter promote narcissism.
