Ezra 7:6 & 11 – 1. He was a skilled scribe in the Law of Moses. 2. He was a priest and expert in the Law. Ezra 1:1-4 – To make a proclamation to let the Jews return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple
Ezra 1:7 & 11 – Gold, silver, and the vessels from the temple that had been taken by the Babylonians Ezra 3:3-5 – Built an altar to the Lord to offer burnt offerings. They kept the feast of tabernacles and gave free will offerings.
Ezra 5:1-2 – Haggai and Zechariah Ezra 4:1-4 – They told the Samaritans they didn’t need their help, and as a result the Samaritans tried to discourage the Jews from building the temple. Ezra 5:1-2 – Haggai and Zechariah
Ezra 10:10-17 – Marrying pagan wives; Ezra told them to separate themselves from them and not to marry unbelieving wives in the future. Nehemiah 2:2-8 – He gave him authority to go to Jerusalem and rebuild the walls.
