Youth Centre Services – impartial careers information, advice, guidance and placing services Social Inclusion – Youth Gateway, Education Gateway, NEETs Learning Coach Team, YOS Youth Gateway Adult Guidance – impartial careers information, advice, guidance, redundancy counselling and social inclusion support

Youth Centre Services Partnerships Employers, JCP, Training Providers, Social Services 2009-10 - 2097 16-18 year olds registered as unemployed. There were 2679 registrations therefore 22% of registrants experienced more than one episode of unemployment. 14% of the Cardiff and Vale 16-18 year old cohort (2001 census) 8114 guidance and placing interviews 62% of registrants were placed into a positive outcome ETE Work Taster Programme – 61% achieved a positive outcome

Youth Gateway Education Gateway Working with school non-attenders or those in danger of becoming non-attenders 2009-10 - 688 starts 2255 guidance and mentoring interviews 904 group sessions     Youth Gateway Working with young people finding it difficult to engage   536 starts 5960 guidance and mentoring interviews 4807 groups 45% female 55% male 27% no qualifications, 19% below NVQ1 78% positive outcome placed in ETE or accessing specialist agency support.
