Art Director Industries: Film & TV Personality type: Creative Departments: Art Department An art director realises the Production Designer's creative vision for all the sets and locations that eventually give productions their unique visual identity. They work on feature films, commercials and some types of television productions. To be an Art Director will generally require a qualification to be an Art Director. Many are graduates of art, architecture, theatre, interior or 3D design courses. You could also undertake higher-level courses in film and/or theatre production design. After training, it will be vital for you to acquire on-the-job experience of how art departments work, studio practice, working on locations, etc. To be an Art Director you need to ; have a thorough understanding of photography, typography and printing techniques have excellent interpersonal and communication skills work well as part of a team, with a range of people have excellent computer skills in relevant art and design software packages be able to work under pressure be highly motivated and well organised have a good eye for detail be able to see other people's point of view and cope with criticism be able to work within strict budgets.

Advertising and Editorial Photographer Industries: Advertising and Marketing Communications, Photo Imaging, Publishing Personality type: Creative Departments: Photographers Advertising Photographers produce images that support a marketing idea in answer to a photographic brief given to them by a client, a designer or an advertising agency. This can involve any subject matter, but is often categorised into specialist areas: still life, portraiture and landscape. Some work is carried out on location, but much is done in studios, using studio flash lighting and a variety of props and accessories. There isn’t a set qualification required to work as an Advertising or Editorial Photographer. Progressing in your career is about having a strong portfolio, track record and reputation. To be an Advertising and Editorial Photographer you need to; Have excellent technical skills, using digital and non-digital cameras and industry-standard software such as Photoshop Have creativity and an eye for a picture Have personality, perseverance, patience and dedication Have the ability to work under pressure, juggle workload and meet deadlines Have the ability to work both independently and in teams, building rapport with clients, colleagues and other businesses.

Copywriter Industries: Advertising and Marketing Communications Personality type: Creative Departments: Advertising Copywriters are responsible for the creation and development of advertising ideas, with particular focus on the written words (copy) within these. This copy can be anything from headlines and body copy for print advertising, to TV commercial scripts, direct marketing leaflets, mobile applications and websites. Their imagination and flair for writing allows them to create persuasive, engaging copy that helps to solve genuine business problems for their agency’s clients. While a degree isn’t required, most new copywriters and applicants will hold a degree in English, Creative Writing, Advertising or similar. Applicants would need to show they are creative and possess talented writing ability. It is also possible to get an Apprenticeship in Copywriting. To be a copywriter you need to; Have refined Writing Skills. Have a Sense Of Adventure And Curiosity Have stellar Research Skills Have the Ability To Create Something New, Even If It's Old. ...
