Data Security Documents It is the policy of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide that Sites or EROs do not keep any forms or documents with taxpayer identity and/or SSN number on the document, unless it is mandated by the IRS or a state/local taxation or revenue agency. This includes W-2s, 1099s, and Form 8879. Form 8453 if used for mailing supporting documents to the IRS is an example of a form that can be retained.
