Job Performance Requirement 7-11 Cylinder Replacement Procedure

A Place the SCBA unit on the ground with the cylinder valve toward you.

B Disconnect the high-pressure coupling from the cylinder. If the knob is difficult to turn, the high-pressure line may still be pressurized.

empty cylinder down out of the harness C Release the cylinder clamp or locking mechanism used on the unit and slide the empty cylinder down out of the harness back plate assembly.

D Inspect the O-ring on the seat of the high-pressure hose for any damage, scratches, or foreign matter. JPR 7-11D
