MEARN MEARN is - A non-governmental and non-profit Moroccan association; - An affiliate of the International Education and Resources network (iEARN); - Active at the national scene since 2003. www.mearn.org.ma

MEARN Vision : - The empowerment of of Moroccan students through access to quality education, information and knowledge on the basis of their effective use of information and communication technologies (ICTs). - To help in the transformation of the Moroccan educational system to a knowledge-based model to prepare the youth of Morocco to effectively enter a Global Economy based on Knowledge, Information and Technology. www.mearn.org.ma

MEARN's Mission : To support the policy of the Ministry of National Education by mobilizing resources, building effective partnerships and knowledge in promoting education through sustainable use of ICTs in Moroccan schools. www.mearn.org.ma

MEARN Strategic Goals MEARN’s objective is to work in partnership with all Moroccan educational institutions (public or private, primary, middle, secondary and others) to set up their ICT facilities and to develop technical and pedagogical capacity necessary to use ICT to enhance teaching and learning. www.mearn.org.ma

  What We actually Do Create awareness of the use of ICT in education through press articles, education ICT demos, conferences, seminars and exhibitions. Work in Partnership with educational institutions to develop their ICT facilities, Internet Connectivity options and Technology plans. Develop ICT skills and facilitate skills transfer through a phased professional training program. www.mearn.org.ma

Since 2003,and being a leading NGO in the coutry ,Mearn has done the following : ► Partner with and Present in more than 20 delegation around the country. ►More than 1700 teachers have benifited from training on ICT and project based learning. ►More than 30 teachers have been sponsored by Mearn to take online professional development training courses on ICT . ►Several training modules were developed and implemented; ► Accelerated online trainings to use websites and softwares, ► Regular support and visits to schools targeted by ALEF/ USAID Program; ► Assistance and support while participting in collaborative projects ; ► Information about ICT news and events; ► Support networks of ICT; ►Assistance to NGOs working in the field of ICT; ... ... www.mearn.org.ma
