No Spelling Test this Week! Homework Read for 20 minutes each day. Continue to practice addition and subtraction facts. We are working on Doubles +1/-1 with automaticity. You may eat lunch with your student on Mondays, Wednesdays, or on their birthday! We go to lunch at 10:55. Ice cream can be purchased for .75 cents on Wednesdays. When you are preparing for the day, please check the weather and send your child dressed accordingly. We all know that CRAZY Texas weather can change in an instant, and we want to be prepared if we go outside. Thank you for all you do! Reading Your student will determine whether a story is true or a fantasy and explain why, and Identify the topic and explain the author's purpose in writing about the text. Math Your student will use objects and pictorial models to solve word problems involving joining, separating, and comparing sets within 20 and unknowns as any one of the terms, apply basic fact strategies to add and subtract within 20, including making 10 and decomposing a number leading to a 10 and generate and solve problem situations when given a number sentence- addition and subtraction. Phonics Your student will be reviewing previously learned Phonics skills. Writing Your student will plan, develop, and write a draft. Science Your student will identify characteristics of day and night. Social Studies Your student will understand how historical figures, patriots, and good citizens helped shape the community, state, and nation.
