External Relations at Cornell SC Johnson College The Office of External Relations has been created to enhance the coordination for the following important functions within the college and to support programs and activities of its three constituent schools: Corporate relationships (including partnerships with centers & institutes, events, and employer relations) Global strategy and partnerships with other universities for collaborative programs Collaborative projects with sister colleges within Cornell on the Ithaca campus and in other parts of the world Government, local, and non-profit relationships (public engagement)

Corporate & Foundation Relations Relationship building vs. transactional approach Develop deep industry expertise and connections (based on our needs and interests)

Global Partnerships Strategic and coordinated approach to global programs Enhance coordination between sister-school initiatives Establish country/region-specific initiatives, such as: Region/country-specific faculty/staff task forces Building regional communities of stakeholders Building relationships with high-impact regional industry conferences and events Developing partnerships with regional news magazines/media …
