The Meekness of Moses Numbers 12:3

(3) Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. Numbers 12:3 ESV

Acts 7:17-43

(23) "When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel. (24) And seeing one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian. Acts 7:23-24 ESV

(11) One day, when Moses had grown up, he went out to his people and looked on their burdens, and he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his people. (12) He looked this way and that, and seeing no one, he struck down the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. Exodus 2:11-12 ESV

(13) When he went out the next day, behold, two Hebrews were struggling together. And he said to the man in the wrong, "Why do you strike your companion?" Exodus 2:13-15 ESV

(14) He answered, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us (14) He answered, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid, and thought, "Surely the thing is known." (15) When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by a well. Exodus 2:13-15 ESV

(24) Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the LORD met him and sought to put him to death. (25) Then Zipporah took a flint and cut off her son's foreskin and threw it at Moses' feet, and she said, "You are indeed a bridegroom of blood to me." (26) So He let him alone. At that time she said, "You are a bridegroom of blood"--because of the circumcision. Exodus 4:24-26 NASB

(10) This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. Genesis 17:10 ESV

(1) Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. (2) And they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has he not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it. (3) Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth. Numbers 12:1-9 ESV

(4) And suddenly the LORD said to Moses and to Aaron and Miriam, "Come out, you three, to the tent of meeting." And the three of them came out. (5) And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. (6) And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. Numbers 12:1-9 ESV

(7) Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house (7) Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. (8) With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" (9) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them, and he departed. Numbers 12:1-9 ESV

(7) Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Psalm 37:7 ESV

(1) Then Moses answered, "But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, 'The LORD did not appear to you.'" (2) The LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?" He said, "A staff." Exodus 4:1-5 ESV

(3) And he said, "Throw it on the ground (3) And he said, "Throw it on the ground." So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it. (4) But the LORD said to Moses, "Put out your hand and catch it by the tail"--so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand-- (5) "that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you." Exodus 4:1-5 ESV

(20) So Moses took his wife and his sons and had them ride on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the staff of God in his hand. Exodus 4:20 ESV

(13) And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. (14) The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent." Exodus 14:13-16 ESV

(15) The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me (15) The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. (16) Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground. Exodus 14:13-16 ESV

(9) So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand." Exodus 17:9 ESV

(7) and the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, (8) "Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle." (9) And Moses took the staff from before the LORD, as he commanded him. Numbers 20:7-12 ESV

(10) Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?" (11) And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. Numbers 20:7-12 ESV

(12) And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them." Numbers 20:7-12 ESV

(32) They angered him at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill with Moses on their account, (33) for they made his spirit bitter, and he spoke rashly with his lips. Psalm 106:32-33 ESV
