Introduction – US RIS environment No single “RIS Authority” Different US agencies have roles USACE and USCG primary Committee on the Marine Transportation System (CMTS) RIS seen as part of e-Navigation Embedded in standard tasks – no dedicated framework for RIS implementation Many existing capabilities – need to accommodate and build on them
