Critical Enablers Key focus for Strategy III The Energy Act specifies Mandatory Critical Enablers R&D People (including skills and capability) Supply Chain development Socio economics Stakeholder engagement Increased focus on leadership Improved underpinning Better link to driving themes and implementation to achieve better outcomes

The Strategy III Journey Energy Act 2004 requires us to review, update and consult on our Strategy every 5 years Strategy III will be a stock take of NDA Strategy Stakeholder engagement and consultation was reshaped to take account of the outcome of the Spending Review A pre-consultation draft strategy was published on 8th September 2015 Formal Strategy III Consultation commenced on 5th January 2016 Comments required by 15th February

Feedback from Draft Strategy 24 sets of feedback received from a wide range of stakeholders NDA Response to Stakeholder Feedback summary produced Preface/Introduction remains the same Funding section updated following CSR outcome Sellafield Model Change – benefits section included Presentation of milestones – roadmaps added to document

Initial Feedback Feedback was broadly supportive providing confidence in strategic direction No significant or substantive strategic changes made to draft SIII Changes mainly involved providing additional detail/clarification to help understanding and inform stakeholder community More detailed comments and observations received will be taken into consideration in the underpinning strategy and delivery documents A number of the consultation questions modified
