Born in Detroit, Michigan Worked at Chrysler in the early years of his career, but left to study engineering at Michigan State University After some time in the University he dropped out and returned to Chrysler A speech Given by Ansel Adams, a well known photographer, inspired him to take his photo career seriously He received the Edward MacDowell medal in 1993, in Peterborough, NH Died in 1999
