Use your intuition or skim the descriptions (the one pager Jen sent via e-mail or the longer packet in your handout) Five People Per Group: Agenda Activists, Community Keepers, Critical Friends, Social Reporters, External Messengers, Organizational Brokers, Value Detectives

Silent Tableaux Please form two circles, one inside the other. As you form the two circles, avoid communicating . . . Don’t use words, hand signals, or gestures. Be sure you are facing another person.

You have one minute 2 tell your partner 3 things 4 your school. Pair and Share You have one minute 2 tell your partner 3 things 4 your school. Jen will set a timer.

Switch! The other person gets one minute 2 tell your partner 3 things 4 your school. Jen will set a timer.

Time in Leadership Groups Work in your leadership groups to generate a shared understanding of your role and develop a plan of action for the retreat. Instructions in your handout. Create a visual to highlight your group’s role and share your plan of action with the other groups. Be ready to present at 2:30! 

CC Faculty as Pedagogical Innovators At the recent WACTC meeting, the college presidents of the system shared how recent political events have deeply impacted campus climate. What kinds of climate issues are impacting faculty and students on your campus that could be addressed/mitigated with professional development? Work in groups of 4 to identify a climate issue (campus or classroom level) that impacts teaching and learning. Brainstorm professional development offerings that could provide support for faculty.
