New WI on Industrial Domain Information Model Group Name: TP Source: Chengsui Lu, Hitachi, cslu@hitachi.cn Miao Jiang, Hitachi, miaojiang@hitachi.cn Meeting Date: 2017-09-18

Semantics in Industrial Domain TR-0018 “Industrial Domain Enablement” has defined several industrial use cases addressing the requirements of data collection (use case in clause 6.1) and data sharing (use case in clause 6.3). Various data models exist in the industrial scenarios, semantics is desired for unifying data for integration and further analysis, also for interoperability support, such as Data sharing is the foundation of collaborative manufacturing, e.g. MES data needs to be shared to coordinate manufacturing among sites. But even factories belonging to the same owner may adopt different MES systems, shared data cannot be recognized due to different data format. To realize Industrie 4.0, semantics is required to make data from different industrial systems readable such as for customized manufacturing by intelligent automation linking multiple systems e.g. MES, logistics and shop floor. MES: Manufacturing Execution System

Industrial Domain Information Models (IM) Comparing with Home Domain, the IMs in the Industrial Domain have different characteristics Various lMs are utilized for different systems/levels (see figure) A larger number of devices with rich module classes Operations are more complicated… Some semantics standards are developed for unifying industrial data, e.g. eCl@ss has defined more than 40,000 product classes, over 17,000 entity-describing properties Gap analysis will be done based on the major industrial IMs to meet the requirements of semantic applications in the industrial domain. eCl@ss website: https://www.eclass.eu/

Motivation of New WI Intends to focus on study how oneM2M could support industrial IMs by semantic functions, instead of defining the industrial information model itself, such as definition of device classes, modules/functions/properties Potential contents include, Introduce & analyze industrial data models mostly utilized for industrial systems /levels (e.g. OPC-UA, ISA-95, AutomationML) Study the solutions for semantical support How the industrial IMs could be represented as oneM2M resources in the oneM2M System Give examples with instantiation

Initial Considerations of the Solution oneM2M repositories Industrial IMs OPC-UA (IEC 62541) Ontology Repository Semantic Repository Mapping principle design from external ontologies Instantiation with oneM2M resources for industrial semantics storage Study on semantic functions (e.g. reasoning) to support industrial scenarios ISA-95 (IEC 62264) …… AutomationML (IEC/TR 62794) Semantic function oneM2M system Industrial area network
