Timeline: Media and Information Literacy MIL is a combination of media and information literacy. The purpose of being media and information literate is to engage in a digital society; one needs to be able to use, understand, inquire, create, communicate and think critically. It is important to have capacity to effectively access, organize, analyze, evaluate, and create messages in a variety of forms. The transformative nature of MIL includes creative works and creating new knowledge; to publish and collaborate responsibly requires ethical, cultural and social understanding.

Radio 2005 radio is relating to a device that uses electromagnetic waves for communication.

Television(tv) 2005 Television or TV is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving images in monochrome (black-and-white), or in color, and in two or three dimensions and sound.

NEWS PAPER 2007 A newspaper is a serial publication containing news about current events, other informative articles about politics, sports, arts, and so on, and advertising. A newspaper is usually, but not exclusively, printed on relatively inexpensive, low-grade paper such as newsprint.

Computer 2010 Computers are used to control large and small machines which in the past were controlled by humans. They are also in homes, where they are used for things such as listening to music, reading the news, and writing. Modern computers are electroniccomputer hardware.

Celphone 2011 Phone services to allow users to make calls and send text messages. All GSM phones use a SIM card to allow an account to be swapped among devices.
