Today: What happens when people get angry? When is the last time you were angry? What happened? Ex. Yell at someone else, cry, punch the wall? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZpDnXYIFjo

In pairs Discuss how you felt when somebody was angry with you. How did you know the other person was angry? What did you do in reaction to the other persons anger?

Join another pair to create a group of 4 Discussion: Is there any correct way to handle anger?

How many of you said physical violence? Punching walls, getting into fights, standing up for yourself if you can’t take it anymore is not always the answer. The physical pain you get from fighting is a release for the internal pain you have no idea how to handle. The challenge: what are your positive options

Anger Triggers When someone hurts, criticizes or embarrasses us Denied what we want or need Others behaving offensively Feeling powerless no control over the situation Witnessing injustice, prejudice or violence

Blowing off Steam Desks in groups of eight facing each other In groups of 6-8 with desks in group setting Place the cup at one end of the table. Tape the grocery bag to the other end. When I say go, the group must attempt to blow the cup into the grocery bag at the other end with no physical touching only air power. Continue to try until you find a quick method of achieving your goal.

Why did I choose this game? Were you frustrated at all? How did you get beyond that feeling? Lets look at some alternatives ways of dealing with anger.
