Grading Grades will use a point system. Grades will be recorded to MIstar weekly. Extra Credit may be offered at Mrs. Rennie’s discretion.

Grading Scale 90-100 = A 80-89 = B 70-79 = C 60-69 = D 59.9 and below = E Extra credit may not be used to change a failing grade to a passing grade at any time.

Assignments Absolutely no late assignments will be accepted. Assignments are due when announced by the instructor.

Assignments All assignments must be labeled with: First and Last Name Hour Failure to list any item will result in point loss.

Supplies A folder and a spiral bound notebook are recommended for taking notes and organizing assignments.

Attendance The school policy will be strictly followed. Tardy: If a student is not in the classroom when the bell rings Absent: If a student misses 10 minutes or more of class

Make Up Work Make up work is due within one week of the last day of your absence. Any assignments, tests, or quizzes not made up within the one week deadline will earn a zero.

Make Up Work It is your responsibility to request make up work. All PowerPoint presentations and many worksheets are available on my website. Please download from there.

Directions for Website Use Go to wbsd.co Click on Schools tab Select Woodhaven High School Choose Teacher Websites tab Select Rennie,J Select Child Development 2 Select Class Documents Select Current Unit Select and view Worksheet or PowerPoint

Make Up Work Some items such as educational films cannot be made up. To recoup points for films, you may complete a three page, double-spaced, word-processed paper on the current unit of study. The paper must be in APA style and include full documentation of all sources. Plagiarism of any kind will earn a zero and disciplinary action.

Classroom Conduct Please be quiet when the teacher or another student is talking. BUT… feel free to ask relevant questions or make relevant comments.

Classroom Conduct You are entitled to your opinion and so is everyone else in the room. You are expected to demonstrate the maturity to respect and appreciate our differences. NO Bullying! This is a judgment free zone!

Classroom Conduct Please avoid combing hair or applying cosmetics or perfumed items in the classroom. Hand sanitizer, tissue, and lotion are available for student use on the side counter.

Classroom Conduct Cheating or copying another student’s work will result in a zero for BOTH students. I will also confiscate work being copied for other classes.

Classroom Conduct Students are to sit in assigned seats at all times. Any student not in their assigned seat AT ANYTIME DURING THE HOUR will be marked absent.

Classroom Conduct Students must use Mrs. Rennie’s pass if they need to leave class for any reason. Only one student may leave class at a time. Mrs. Rennie will refuse pass use to any student abusing the privilege.

Classroom Conduct Talking at any time before quizzes and tests have been collected will result in a zero.

Classroom Conduct Avoid writing on desks. Report any graffiti to Mrs. Rennie Paper and writing supplies are available on the counter for any student who wishes to doodle.

Classroom Conduct Absolutely no orange products may be brought into class. I have a SEVERE orange allergy. All wrappers are to be cleaned up and containers should be recycled.

Phone and Electronics use should exhibit maturity and appropriate timing.
