SEMINAR Title : Next Generation OLED 2. Speaker : Taewoong Kim, Principal Engineer (Samsung Display) 3. Time : 15:00 - 18:00, Friday, June 9, 2017 4. Place : e+ Lecture Hall(room 83188), 2nd Research Building, Sungkyunkwan University 5. Summary :      We are introducing flexible display technology which includes the development history and product trend of flexible display, and basic knowledge of OLED. The key technologies of flexible display will be discussed in several areas of thin film encapsulation, substrate, backplane, and overall flexible display process. Finally, next generation display of stretchable will be dealt with regarding some important technologies requiring breakthrough in the future. Background : Taewoong Kim received the Ph.D. degrees in Department of Chemical Engineering from University of Florida in 2005. He joined SDI in 2005 and since then, he has been working on development of flexible AMOLED display at Samsung . His main research area includes development of flexible backplane, panel, and module, specifically low stress backplane/panel/module development by reducing stress (new structure) and new materials. Advanced flexible display process development and next generation display development are also included in his research area. 7. Questions : taewoong68.kim@samsung.com(☏031-8000-6922)
