Mrs. McKenna’s TK2 Weekly News Elective Schedule Announcement Week of January 4, 2016 HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas and New Year celebrations. We are excited to be back and can’t wait for all the fun we will have this second half of the school year. We will be learning new things this year. One of these new things will be the ability to add and subtract sets to 10. Please keep an eye out for addition and subtraction homework over the next couple of weeks and if you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me. What are we learning? Language Arts: -Writing: Review Letters Aa- Kk -Assessment: Aa-Kk -Reading: Wrap up Jingles, Poems, and Rhymes Math: Number 14 -Introduction to addition (*Addition/Subtraction homework will be sent home on Wed. & Thurs. each week during this math unit) Social Studies: -Learn about Martin Luther King Jr. Religion: -Know that Jesus healed a blind man; associate light with Jesus Announcement TK Career Day 2016 Reminder Please review the “Career Day” flyer that went home before Christmas break. All TK students will be participating in their very first “oral presentation”. Please help them prepare for speaking in front of the class.
