Background Operational Guidance Demise of HMFSI All guidance is extant CFRA identified Revise and Refresh approach Legacy guidance and gap liability Operational Guidance Manuals of Firemanship, Fire Service Manuals, Dear Chief Officer Letters, Fire Service Circulars Developed by Home Office, ODPM and CLG 5000 identified items Demise of HMFSI since 2004 limited new operational guidance. Operational Doctrine on going debate. Operational Guidance seen as a key element of future Operational Doctrine PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

Programme Board can adjust to account for emerging issues. PROVIDING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
