Substitute Reimbursement The Department of Education will provide substitute reimbursement for REGISTERED participants. PFA or IV needs to be completed within 30 days after the training. Please send completed PFA or IV electronically to DOE. All PD confirmation emails will contain PFA/IV information.

DE PBS Key Feature Evaluation Plan 2017 – 2018 School Fall 2017 Winter/Spring 2018 Focus on schools that were trained as teams in summer 2016 These teams are in year two of implementation. Teams may use the Status Tracker tool in preparation for the KFE. Schedule other schools upon request Some schools opted in 16-17 to postpone until fall 2017. Continue to accept requests for new & re- evaluations for Phase Recognition KFE visits with SCSS partnership schools

Reminder: DE-PBS Key Feature Status Tracker Tool Purpose: To support teams to assess implementation in four main program categories & plan next steps Broken into four evaluation sections SWPBS Tier 1, Prevention, Correcting Problem Behaviors, and Developing Self-Discipline Tracker includes: Key program components for each section Teams can use these to assess their program and identify areas to modify or build upon Action plan to develop steps towards improving or modifying program components Used for ongoing monitoring

Professional Development

Tier 3: Advanced Prevent Teach Reinforce (PTR) to Address Internalizing Behavior This training is for professionals facilitating the FBA/BIP process within their districts, and focuses on thinking functionally about internalizing behaviors. 11/15/2017 9am – 3:30pm

Bullying incident reporting The Parent Information Center (PIC) and the DE-PBS Project will present information about bullying and social skills to families. To help us prepare and respond to questions, please respond to the following… If parents have concerns about bullying: What is the process for reporting/responding to incident reports at the school level and/or district level? Who is typically responsible for handling/responding to incident reports at the school level and/or district level? Training Date: 10/18/2017; 5:30-7:30pm John W. Collette Education Resource Center, 35 Commerce Way, in Dover

Tier 2: Targeted Team Training Open to schools with KFE implementation at Proficient or Exemplary Tier 2 problem-solving team members work to extend current Tier 2 programming for students by establishing a sound system. Provides an in-depth overview of the recommended features for effective Tier 2 behavior teams, programming, and interventions. Learn how to identify and secure appropriate Tier 2 interventions that match demonstrated student needs. 11/29/17 9am – 3:30pm

Tier 2: Networking This session is open to schools that previously participated in the DE-PBS Project Tier 2: Targeted Team Training. Topics and activities include reviewing Tier 2 systems & problem-solving concepts, examining evaluation methods and networking with other implementing teams. 10/26/17 9:00 am – 12:00pm

Tier 2: PEERS This training is designed to teach educators how to use the PEERS manual. The PEERS curriculum is for adolescents to focus on skills related to making and keeping friends, and managing peer conflict and rejection. 10/9/2017 9am – 3:30pm

Tier 1: School-wide (SW) PBS Team Workshop Looking ahead … Open to new or revamping representative teams Focus on SWPBS framework components Program Development & Evaluation Prevention: Implementing SW & CR Systems 7/11/2018 9am – 3:30pm

Tier 1: Establishing Systems of Positive Classroom Behavioral Supports This workshop is for tier 1 teams to expand their understanding of 8 evidence-based positive classroom behavioral support practices, and to learn effective ways for implementing these practices school-wide.  Participants will explore methods for teaching these practices as well as develop a school-wide implementation plan.  Data collection tools and strategies will be provided to identify which practices are needed and track progress.  12/7/2017 9 am – 3:30 pm
