Extraordinary Luke 2:8-20
Extraordinary Luke 2:8-20 The Response of the Shepherds to an Encounter with God Fear :9 - they were terrified Action :15-16 - they sought out the Saviour
“Woe to me. ” I cried. “I am ruined “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love… And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love…. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
