Sponsorship opportunity About the Ball Oriel’s 2018 Commemoration Ball will be an unforgettable night for those lucky enough to get tickets, and a cause of regret for those unfortunate individuals who don’t. First, it will take place in the beautiful quads of one of the oldest Colleges in Oxford (Oriel College), whose foundation by King Edward II dates back to 1326. Secondly, this lavish, white-tie Ball gives undergraduates, graduates and alumni of the University of Oxford, along with their guests, the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of a tough academic year. Thirdly, and lastly, it will be the only Commemoration Ball held in the Summer of 2018 and so will be unique in its extravagance. The theme of the 2018 Oriel Commemoration Ball is everything toys, as the Latin word Ludibrium suggests: for one night only, the quads of Oriel College will be turned into an enchanted land where toys, games and childhood dreams come to life. The guests of the ball will be immersed in a playful and yet sophisticated atmosphere where they will be surrounded by toys and games, such as a chessboard dance floor and life-size toy sculptures and flats, among numerous other things. The price of the tickets is £160 (non-dining) and £200 (dining) for Oriel students, and £180 (non-dining) and £220 (dining) for non-Oriel guests. There are also a limited number of VIP tickets available for Alumni at £250. Each ticket gives access to unlimited, delicious food and drinks, and various forms of entertainment from early evening to the next morning, with the addition of a sumptuous five-course meal for dining and VIP ticket holders. The 2018 Oriel Commemoration Ball will take place on the 22nd of June 2018.
