What is Fear? An unpleasant emotion caused by the threat of danger, pain, or harm. Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat, which causes you to quickly pull away or, in sporting terms, usually hide. What is anxiety? A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome in a challenging situation. An unpleasant state of inner turmoil, often accompanied by nervous behavior, restlessness, fatigue, concentration problems and muscular tension. Anxiety, takes many different forms but within sport you may feel as though you are choking, you want to run away, cannot move your body in ways that you want. In short, you freeze when the moment matters.
