Financial Aid & Scholarships

Senior Notification Purpose: Encourage a strong finish and provide accountability in the areas of Academics, Attendance, and Behavior Timeline: Distributed in English classes on Feb. 23th/24th Due to Assistant Principal’s Office by Fri, March 3rd Notification goes into effect Monday, March 20th

Senior notification details Academics Must complete 240 credits and pass all required courses by May 26, 2017 Attendance Must maintain good attendance in all class. Ten or more EXCUSED full or partial day absences in a school year is considered excessive and will result in administrative consequences 3 full day or single period (same period) UNEXCUSED absences is considered truant and cannot participate in graduation ceremony Behavior If suspended for any reason in 4th quarter, a student cannot participate in the graduation ceremony. Behavior standards apply for school and school-sponsored activities. Must attend MANDATORY graduation practice or cannot participate in graduation ceremony.

Make sure all fines/fees that you owe are paid by May 26, 2017. A student cannot participate in the graduation ceremony if they have any outstanding fines or fees.

The Graduation Ceremony May 26, 2017 - 7:00pm, ORHS Stadium Participation in the graduation ceremony is considered a privilege; participation is not a right. The Oak Ridge High School Graduation Ceremony is a community celebration of the accomplishments of the class of 2017. The ceremony is a dignified ceremony, not a party. We appreciate parental and community support in maintaining the dignity of the ceremony. Please do not encourage or participate in disruptive behavior

The Ceremony There will be professional photographers on site Photos will also be taken as each Senior receives their diploma No tickets are required All gates to the stadium will open for admission at 5:45pm. Seating is very limited, please don’t save seats Assisted Seating: Information will be available at a later date, via a Parent Square communication. There will be a maximum of 4 seats per family for Assisted seating

The Ceremony Graduates report to designated area with cap and gown No special adornments to cap or gown No cell phones No food or beverages No purses or bags One souvenir copy of the program will be provided. Additional copies will be available online.

The Ceremony Develop a plan for reunification with your graduate following the ceremony. This location should be off the field.
