‘The Lost Generation’ By Madison Campbell!

5 Questions Question 1:How did Kevin Rudd say ‘Sorry?’ Question 2:Why did they take the Aboriginal kids away? Question 3:What happened to the boys and girls? Question 4:The results and outcomes? Question 5:How did that effect relationships at the time?

‘How did Kevin Rudd say ‘Sorry?’ He made a speech to say ‘Sorry’ to the Aboriginal people on behalf of Australia’s Community. He also got a skywriter to go and write in the sky ‘Sorry’.

Why did the whites take Aboriginal kids away The white people took the Aboriginal kids from here families because so they could be aducated and assimilated so that was called ‘The Stolen Generation.

What happened to the boys and girls? The children that got taken from there families got horrific abuse they suffered in there foster families. And left thousands traumatised for life. When they were babies they were stolen from there mummies and daddies and so on. They were often scarred for life by there experience. But at the age of 18 they were ‘released’ into the white society.

What were the results and outcomes Kevin Rudd said ‘Sorry’ on behalf of the Australian Commounity. Places the children went to live with there foster parents. Most of them went to Sydney.

How did that effect relationships Most mothers killed themselves thinking that there son or daughter were killed and wished to be with them. The fathers wished just to do nothing and move on. But even if the son or daughters weren’t dead I would just think about how the parents would feel.
