What is an Entrepreneur? Grade Level K

Entrepreneur is a long, important-sounding word!

How do you say it?

Do I have to spell it?

Why do I need to know it?

What does it mean?

Entrepreneur is a word for someone who owns a business.

Entrepreneurs are all different Entrepreneurs are all different. They have different types of businesses.

They make different kinds of things.

They come in all ages, shapes and sizes, and live all around the world!

They do have some things that are the same, though:

They work hard!

They have lots of great ideas!

They are willing to keep learning!

They are curious about how things work!

They like to help other people!

They learn from their mistakes!

They keep trying!

Even kids can be entrepreneurs

There’s so much that you already know how to do, that maybe you can do for someone else!

Do you think you can work hard?

Create new ideas for doing things?

Keep trying and not give up?

Then you are already like an entrepreneur

You now know how to say it. You can keep trying to spell it!

And you now know what an entrepreneur is!
