Identifying variables in an experiment

Question: How much water flows through a faucet at different openings? Independent Variable: The thing you change/test (Can only be 1 thing for a FAIR test) Dependent Variable: What you are trying to measuring Controlled Variable: What I keep the same Water faucet opening (closed, half open, fully open) Amount of water flowing measured in liters per minute The Faucet Water pressure, or how much the water is "pushing"

Question: Does heating a cup of water allow it to dissolve more sugar?
