3 P’s for effective time management Plan Persistence Prioritise Plan, Prioritise, Persistence

Planning Avoid procrastination and do justice to yourself by making and revising a plan which works for you. PLAN, PLAN, and MORE PLANNING

Prioritise Learn to set priorities wisely in order to achieve more. Learn to say ‘NO’ to your friends so that you can keep up your schedules

Persistence not procrastination Avoidance of doing a task which needs to be accomplished. To quote Bernard Meltzer “Hard work is often the easy work you did not do at the proper time”

Tips and hints Keep notepaper and pen with you all the time, so that you can jot down sudden thoughts that will contribute to your work, or suggestions made by others. Studying for short blocks of time with brief breaks is often more effective than studying for lengthy periods of time with no break. Revise lists regularly (as a 5-minute morning task) to cross tasks off when accomplished, to change priority groups, and to add new tasks. Make lists, but don't use list-making to substitute for working!
