GOOD NEWS! Swope leadership will be hosting a winter dance on December 21st from 12:30 until 2:00 PM!!! The theme, suggested attire, and alternate activities are still being planned so keep listening to the announcements for more details.
You must have 2 things under control In order to be eligible to go to the dance: #1 you must have no more than 3 tardies from December 6 – tomorrow – through December 20th (the day before the dance). #2 You must not have any missing assignments from December 6 – tomorrow- through December 20th (the day before the dance). Let’s all work hard, get to all of our classes on time, and get ready to DANCE on December 21st!!!!

The Swope Holiday food drive has started. We are collecting non-perishable food items to be brought into your enrichment class Any and all donations are extremely appreciated.
Along with the Holiday food drive The Library offers food for fines! Bring a non-perishable item to the library and Ms. Lester will erase your library fine. One can = one book fine This doesn’t cover books that are lost or damaged. See Ms. Lester for more information
We are playing dodgeball during intramurals this week. Please check the intramural board to see when your team is playing. Next week we start Volleyball intramurals Pick up your form from the intramural board and turn into Ms. Malcolm ASAP.
Attention 8th graders. As a reminder, if you are planning on applying for a signature academy, the applications are now available on the Washoe County School District website. You have until January 1st to submit your applications.
If you’ve lost anything between fall break and now, please go through the lost and found in the cafeteria. Any items left in the lost and found will be donated to charity over winter break.
