Casio Cassiopeia E-115 Advantages Displays 64,000 colors Optional Digital Camera Card available for digital images and short videos Only Pocket PC with a Type II CF slot for use with IBM CF microdrives for storing media files

Review from PC Magazine The PC Magazine did a review of the Casio Cassiopeia E-115. These are the results out of five. Average 4.5 Features 4.5 Ease of Use 4.5 Interface 4 Design 4 Portability 4 Overall value 4

Disadvantages of Casio Cassiopeia E-115 A disadvantage of the Casio Cassiopeia E-115 is that it does not yet have the wireless connectivity bundle that Compaq and HP have. This means that people that own the Cassiopeia will have to rely on Compact-Flash modems, CF, serial, or infrared port adapters to use digital phones as modems.

Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC Advantages Has the fastest CPU(206 MHz) Cost $100 less than other Pocket PCs Has five levels of brightness for indoor or outdoor use A $30 coupon will help you save on an expansion pack

Review from PC Magazine The PC Magazine conducted a review of the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC. These are the results out of five. Average 4.5 Features 4.5 Ease of use 4.5 Interface 4.5 Design 4.5 Portability 4.5 Overall value 4.5

Disadvantages of the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC A disadvantage of the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC is that it lacks an expansion slot. There are expansion packs available. They are the CF Expansion Pack for $40 and the PC Card Expansion Pack for $150. There is a $30 coupon that helps purchase these packs. Another disadvantage of the iPAQ is that it only has 4,000 colors where the Casio Cassiopeia E-115 had 64,000 colors.

Cost The Casio Cassiopeia E-115 costs $600. The Compaq iPAQ pocket PC costs $500.

My Choice After reading my choice for a Pocket PC would be the Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC because it is light weighing only 6.8 ounces. I also like it because it can be used outdoors where the Casio Cassiopeia E-115 doesn’t show up well in the outdoor light.

Conclusion The Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC is better than the Casio Cassiopeia E-115 because it has more technology. The Casio Cassiopeia E-115 is a very good pocket PC, but the Compaq iPAQ has more options and has a better display. The iPAQ is also a lot cheaper.
