Presentation transcript:

High-level clouds late week Today Saturday NAM model soundings for KSFO, valid 21Z (2:00PM PDT) 09 Sept. 2015 (left), and 12 Sept. 2015 (right). Dew-points increase as remnant moisture from Linda impacts California. High relative humidities at SFO near the 500-mb level indicate a higher chance for cloudiness in the mid-troposphere.

Very Warm Temperatures Persist, Hurricane Linda Strengthens near Baja Left: Forecast high temperatures (NOAA) for today at 5:00 PM PDT. Widespread 90s and 100s across the Bay Area and Central Valley, with warmer-than-normal conditions extending to the coast. Right: surface isobars (solid) and 1000-500mb thickness contours (dashed) show the dominant NE Pacific ridging affecting our weather, as well as Hurricane Linda near Baja California.
