Statistics: More than 1 in 5 students report being bullied. (Bullying) About 20-30% of students notify adults when they are being bullied. (Home) Reasons for bullying reported by students included: (Bullying) 55% for looks 37% for body shape 16% for race

What Schools are doing to try and Prevent Bullying: According to https://www.stopbullying.gov there are five things that schools should do/teach about bullying: Recognize and Respond Create Dialogue Encourage Bystanders to become “Upstanders” Foster Safety and Inclusion Educate (Home)

Bullying is a behavior by one person that intimidates another. About 1 in 5 students report being bullied. Schools need to educate, create dialogue, recognize and respond, encourage, and foster safety. Bullying has three components: intent to harm, repetition and power imbalance. Conclusion
