Muscle Size and Strength

How many muscles do you think we have in our human body???? OVER 620 Muscles are in the human body!!!

Where are the smallest and largest muscles found in our body????? The smallest muscle is the stapedius. It is located in the inner ear to conduct vibrations. It is about 1 millimeter wide. The largest muscle is the latissimus dorsi. It is a broad, flat muscle on the back and helps move the arms.

The three kinds of muscles Skeletal (voluntary) Smooth (involuntary) Line the digestive track. Help your blood flow. Cardiac (involuntary) Located in the heart.

What do you think the word “force” means????? The push or pull of an object……

How can we measure force??? Force is measured in NEWTONS……..

How can we convert Newton’s to Kilograms???? 9.8 Newton's = 1 Kilogram But we can round….. 10 Newton's = 1 Kilogram Multiply your kilograms by 10 to find the Force.

Muscle size vs. Muscle Strength Lab Results: After reviewing your data from the Muscle Size vs. Muscle Strength lab, answer the following questions on the back side of your paper using complete sentences. 1. Does muscle size affect muscle strength? 2. Was there a correlation (relationship) between the two? 3. What were the gender results? Males stronger? Females stronger?
