Go Green Workbook April 2017: Sustainable Transport ACTIVITIES EVIDENCE POINTS BRONZE: Sustainable travel methods are communicated to staff in the team e.g. encouraging walking, cycling, bus, train and car share options instead of car use. Also encouraging teleconferencing and phone calls instead of business travel where appropriate. Promotion of the Brompton Bikes and Car Share Scheme. More details of sustainable travel options can be found on the AstBUG and Sustainability webpages under Sustainable Travel. Email communications, posters on noticeboards, minutes of meetings where this is discussed etc. 2 SILVER: One or more members of the team/department have signed up to the Car Share Scheme OR have contacted Security to arrange a test drive of the University’s electric BMW OR have registered with Brompton Bike. Email Evidence. 5 GOLD: One or more members of the team/department have trialled using more sustainable travel methods e.g. car sharing, cycling or walking. (5 points awarded if this is done by a Champion, full 10 points awarded only if this is done by a non-Champion.) Details of trial emailed over. 10 BONUS: A shutdown list has been created, identifying areas to switch off over the Easter break. An e-mail/poster has been send round to colleagues or put on noticeboards. A designated member of staff must check everything is switched off on the last day before Easter. Shutdown list created. Email evidence/photos of posters 3 Total points available: 20
