Who we are The HDA was established in 2009 as a public development agency to address the land acquisition and assembly process so as to accelerate housing delivery and human settlement development. The two main objectives of the Agency are to: Identify, acquire, hold, develop and release well-located land and buildings Provide project management support and housing development services The HDA collaborates with provinces and municipalities to provide the following services: Land identification, assembly and planning; Project Pipeline development; Project management; Informal settlement upgrade; IGR support; and Geo-spatial information

What we do Programme 1: ADMIN CEO’s office: Strategic planning, communications and stakeholder relationships, internal audit and company secretary Financial Management: Finance, budgets, performance information, SCM, risk Corporate Services: HR, legal, facilities, IT Programme 2: LAND PLANNING AND ASSEMBLY Land Planning and Assembly Support Land Information Services Knowledge and Research Monitoring and Evaluation
What we do Programme 3: LAND AND HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES Regional offices as implementation support is provided here and in terms of the programme support areas agreed with partners. Programme support areas (but not limited to): Programme and project portfolio planning and management support Informal settlement upgrading support Emergency housing support Land assembly and land acquisition/release support Land holding support Land geo-spatial services IGR support Project technical implementation support Section 29 mandated projects eg N2 Gateway, Zanemvula, WC Sanitation programmes
