How do Chromebooks Support Student Learning? Students have the ability to collaborate to create a google slides presentation or skit

How do Chromebooks support student learning? Teachers can easily disseminate information to students

How are Chromebooks used in Kindergarten? They are sharing one Chromebook cart They use Chromebooks to reinforce reading, math, and social studies skills. Sites are shared through Google classroom. Students’ individual sites are dependent on students’ individual reading and math needs The students are responsible for logging in using their username and password.

How are Chromebooks used in First Grade? They are sharing 1 chromebook cart Predominantly used during math and literacy centers. Each class has a designated computer time to use the entire cart during the week. Google classroom for students to practice reading and math skills. Students also do research on Pebblego, Epic Books and math learning sites like Frontrow.

How are Chromebooks used in Second Grade? They are sharing 1 Chromebook cart Second grade uses the Chromebooks for typing, research and center rotations. The sites for rotations are for reinforcing concepts taught during whole group or small group instruction.

How are Chromebooks used in Third Grade? They each have their own Chromebook cart Predominantly used during during small group instruction. In reading, students read electronic books, complete written responses, practice their typing skills, and learn about the different parts of speech. In math, students play games to reinforce the topics that are being taught and review their basic facts, Publish a final copy in writing Editing process

How are Chromebooks used in Fifth Grade? They each have their own Chromebook cart They use them for research and drafting in writing. In math, Chromebooks are used to access example videos and resources as well as educational games which provide practice and reinforcement of current and past content/skills. In reading, Chromebooks are used to access digital text and media content. In writing, Chromebooks are used to complete written responses. In science and social studies, Chromebooks are used for students to complete presentations in various formats

How are Chromebooks used at Cabin John? CJMS uses Chromebooks in every class including specials, Health, and PE. Students are also highly encouraged to keep track of their grades and assignments online. Students can rent chromebooks from the Media Center if they need them for use at home.
