Why do Carlton go on residential visits? Part of the curriculum First hand geography Bonding experience Special memories Small topic done before and after the visit Learn more in a week than a year in the classroom Make new friends, increase social skills in preparation for high school Memories to last a lifetime – see the photos
Which staff will be going? Mr van Loo Miss Johnson Mrs Parker Mrs Smith Mr coe – 4th trip – been on numerous residentials Miss Johnson – 2nd visit – first full week Mrs Parker - 3rd visit, knows the children really well Mrs Smith – Numerous visits before 4 activity groups
Where is it? Ireshopeburn 100 miles 2-2.5 hours Last section on windy roads – travel sickness

We know the centre very well In an amazing setting Friendly, highly trained staff Excellent range of activities Accommodation in fantastic grounds School has been there on numerous occasions Scenery is right on the doorstep Staff know how to get the best out of children, know how to challenge them Been to other centres, Weardale does the activities in more depth. Grounds for exploring/ playing football, rounders etc

Costs £250 per child Coach cost is £790 – this is subsidised by school. All payments are to be done online – you will receive a text when the payment portal is open. Please pay a £25 deposit as soon as the online payment portal opens to secure your child’s place. Payments can be done in instalments, or paid in full, anytime before the payment deadline. Final balance must be paid by Monday 13th March 2017. Robinwood was £180 for 2 nights in November.
