Erin’s Tip: User-level security Useful For: Limiting what your users can see and do User-level security allows me to customize the permissions for my team and make sure only those that I’ve selected can send communication on behalf of others. -Erin The next tip comes from Erin and it has to do with User Level Security. If you’re managing a sales team it might be important to make sure that your reps can ONLY see the contact, company, and deal information pertinent to them. Head to Account Settings > Account > Users These permissions allow you to control what your users are able to see and do in the database. You can edit the permissions of any current users, and when you invite new users you can select their permissions right from the start. There will be a checkbox for system administrator, permissions checkboxes for logging in and exporting data, and one for sending on behalf of others. You can also give, or not give users the ability to view and edit other users' records This will also limit their ability to view or edit other user's contacts, companies & deals. Finally, you can decide if they should be able to Delete other users' records (including user’s contacts, companies & deals)
