Creating a CLOZE passage Two people: a RECORDER and a RESEARCHER. Make a list of the most important plot events that happen in this passage (what stands out?) What are the key words (probably NOUNS!) that stand out in the passage? Make a list of these.

Creating a CLOZE passage The Recorder writes the passage; the Researcher uses the text to find the main ideas and keywords. Work together to create a passage that SUMMARIZES the most important information. Then for each sentence, delete the one word or phrase that is the key to understanding the sentence. Use the CLOZE 1 and CLOZE 2 passages to help you. You can do it!
