LGBT History Month Hosted by

LGBT History Month 2006 www.lgbthistorymonth.org.uk Now is the time to start planning to make February 2006 even bigger and better than 2005! We urge you all to get organising - it won't happen if you don't make it happen! www.lgbthistorymonth.org.uk

Honours List: Dr Stephen Whittle OBE and Christine Burns MBE “….the thing that made it especially important in our eyes was what those honours said now about the value placed on trans people's lives, welfare and rights. In honouring us, society was being given a serious message. It said that those people's rights and welfare are important in themselves.”

Famous LGBT People Some of the people illustrated in this section may not have identified in their lifetime as LGB or T, terms that would not have had the same meaning for them. We include them here because we believe they had an experience of or interest in same-sex love.
