Introduction The Elmo P30S/P305 Visual Presenter: A real time image capturing device, an essential tool used in a wide range of presentations worldwide. From primary schools to universities to companies. a digital camera mounted on a free-angle arm stands, with adjustable light sources (lamps); to illuminate the document placed underneath it, and then it sends the output signal to an over-head projector or just a typical projector. Then images from the projector can be displayed on a variety of surfaces.
Company The Elmo P305 is just one of the varieties of ever-increasing range of products made by the Elmo co. Ltd. It is a private company established in the city of New York (America) more than 80 years ago. It has annual revenue of about 20 to 50 million dollars. They specialize in photographic equipment, motion picture and audio-visual equipment Distribution.
Eco friendly The Elmo P3OS is eco friendly because: it works effectively without a computer.( But is still able to work with a computer) SD (Secure digital) memory card feature, It uses less energy than computers Computers uses high amounts of unnecessary energy, between 60 -500 watts of energy, they "account for 40%-60% of the energy used by office“. Elmo P30S uses 24watts (http://www.thevisualisershop.com/visualiser.php?product=3077)
Eco Friendly continued… It saves energy so that our future descendant would enjoy using the future versions of the P30S and/or any of the other products made by the Elmo company. It save a lot of trees, by reducing the amount of paper being made and distributed. Less paper made = less trees being cut down = Happier future generations.
Social views A huge number of the Elmo P30S's features are making the Elmo Company more famous, because they aid the presenter in giving a good presentation. If the presenter gives a presentation to an audience, and he/she like the performance of the P30S, then they are more likely to recommend the product to their friends, family and/or co-workers. This would be a good publicity for the company.
Social views continued… On the other hand, if the presenter is unsatisfied with the performance of the P30S, then he/she would give a negative review. This would also be a bad publicity for the company. Amongst all the articles which I have read about the Elmo P30S, I haven’t yet seen a negative comment of any complaints. Which means a great deal of their customers are satisfied with their purchased product.
Improvement Although the Elmo P30S works without a computer, it can be combined with a computer to make an effective presentational tool and device. The Elmo could share the power supply used by the computer, so basically they would function as a single device instead of two. This would save a lot of energy. The digital camera in the Elmo can be mounted to the side of a CPU (Central Processing Unit) of a computer, and the digital components in the Elmo can also be integrated with the motherboard of the computer. The computer would be able to control all the features the Elmo has, and many more (i.e. rotation and zoom).
Conclusion In conclusion, the Elmo P30S is an outstanding product made by an equally great company, Elmo co.Ltd. It is good for the environment and for giving presentations. Although it is a bit costly, in my opinion, I think the features, functionality and the design of the P30S are worth the price.
Thank you.
