Session #1 – 8:30 AM – 9:20 AM Current State of Student reporting & analytics at Villanova Presented by: Sarah Lodise, Villanova University Location: Grande III This session will provide a look at the current state of student reporting & analytics at Villanova. In the past year, we have evaluated visualization tools, continued to improve Cognos reporting from the ODS, implemented the data cookbook and continued the governance conversation.

Session #3 – 11:10 AM – 12:00 PM Simple Tables to Report Cognos Metadata Presented by: Daniel Wilson, Temple University Location: Grande III This session will present the data infrastructure we built at Temple to make it easy to report on the information that Cognos stores in the Content Store and Audit Database. The Content Store contains all the users, groups, and reports within a Cognos installation including the location of the reports within the portal. The Audit Database contains history about user sessions and report runs. This information is not easily queried directly from Cognos. The presentation will show how we extracted, transformed and loaded the operational metadata into our Operational Data Store to make it easier to report on this information and get greater insight into how we use Cognos at Temple University.
