Seven Areas of Technology Medical Technology Energy and Power Transportation Construction Agricultural and Biotechnology Communication/Information Manufacturing technologies

Medical Technology Developing and using devices and systems promoting health and curing illnesses.

Energy & Power Technology Developing and using systems and processes to convert, transmit, and use energy.

Transportation Technology The movement of people or cargo from one place to another.

Construction Technology The process of using manufactured goods and industrial materials to structures on a site.

Agricultural and Biotechnology Agriculture Technology Using science and technology in planting, growing, and harvesting crops and raising livestock. Biotechnology (also known as bioengineering) Designing products to meet the physical and comfort needs of people.

Communication Technology The act of exchanging ideas, information, and opinions.
